Physico-chemical methods of water treatment
A seminal work by esteemed Norwegian scientists Igor Astrelin, Harsha Ratnaweera, and their colleagues, this 600-pages-long textbook contains the full account of the state of global water economy, modern methods of water treatment, approaches to water purification around the world, and respective legislation aimed at restoring the natural environmental balance.
Solus Rex worked in close contact with the authors to provide terminologically accurate translation as per the official linguistic guidelines of the U.S. Plain Writing Act of 2010.
The scope of translation included Chapters 2, 3, and 4, and the overall wordcount exceeded 100,000 words.

Ulleungdo and Dokdo in the East Sea
Written in a distinguished academic tone interspersed with historic notes and personal impressions of a Russian academic Valery Glushkov, Ulleungdo and Dokdo in the East Sea gives a detailed account of the political climate around the islands Ulleungdo and Dokdo – objects of an ongoing territorial dispute between the Republic of Korea and Japan. A serious matter with long-standing implications, this translation required a great deal of preparatory work in the history of Chosŏn, the Russo-Japanese War of 1904–1905, the naval terminology of the time, and the deeds of contemporary noteworthy figures whose actions remain relevant to this day.
The book is over 30,000 words long, and it was a deeply enriching experience to bring its content to the attention of the English-speaking world.

A thoughtful and deeply psychological experience, Snowflake River by Ben‑Ami Eliahu counts over 60,000 words of vivid prose and poetry complete with puns, literary tropes, and fresh images. The author kindly asked us to work on translation and revision of the Russian edition of the book, and after a long and arduous work we delivered a print-ready manuscript that fully observes the rules of Russian grammar while keeping intact the unmistakable flavor of Ben-Ami's distinctive style.
Translating a work of fiction is always a highly demanding creative process, but we successfully conveyed every play on words, every figurative description and emotional expression of multifaceted characters to ensure that no nuance escapes the Russian audience.
